Functional, Participation-Based, Collaborative & Inclusive IEP Goals

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

  • Participants will review current research and identify evidence-based strategies to support the development of functional, participation-based, and inclusive IEP goals
  • Participants will review recent professional guidance set forth by the APTA to support the role of Physical Therapists within the school setting and identify areas of improvement within their practice, with a particular focus on the Least Restrictive Environment and inclusive practices
  • Participants will analyze multiple case studies and demonstrate the ability to apply current evidence and professional guidance to make clinically appropriate, student-centered decisions when developing IEP goals
